Moxi Skates Buyers Guide

Moxi Rollerskates has quickly become one of the most popular skate brands on the globe. The brand was founded by Michelle Steilen who is also known as Estro Gen. She collaborated and encouraged skate giants Riedell who made skates for the sport Roller Derby, to bring out skates that were designed to appeal to people of all athletic abilities and ages. The skates are made at high quality and with many different designs and colours to suit everyone. Moxi has 3 main skates that we stock at Slick’s. We have the Rainbow Riders, Beach Bunnys and the Lollys.

Rainbow Rider
The Skate
The Moxi Rainbow Rider is the cheaper skate of the bunch. It is a nice entry level skate to get you into Roller skating yet it still has some great quality parts. These parts include a no-maintenance PVC outsole to hold your foot in place, an adjustable toe stop so you can edit how long you would like it to be and a nice strong aluminium plate that will handle a lot of skating overtime. These skates come with Moxi soft 58mm outdoor wheels and ABEC-5 bearings which is the perfect combination to get you skating outdoors or at the roller disco.
The Rainbow rider comes in 3 colours which would be Black, Yellow and Pink with all colours having a rainbow on the side of the skate.
Sizing
This skate comes wide and short so it’s a great option for anyone with wider feet. We would recommend going for your normal shoe size with this model.

Beach Bunny
The Skate
The Moxi Beach Bunny is a step up from the Rainbow Rider. The boot offers ankle padding and an ergonomically designed collar for added comfort as well as a Dri-Lex moisture absorbing liner. It also features a Marvel Aluminium Plate for long lasting durability. The wheels consist of 58mm 78a Glitter Beach Bunny's with ABEC-5 bearings to get you rolling outdoors or indoors. The toe stops are adjustable just like the Rainbow Rider. The Material used for the Beach Bunny's is Drum-Dyed vinyl Made from Animal Friendly materials so this skate holds your foot in nice and secure whilst being a good vegan skate option. (The Moxi Panther is not Vegan friendly and is made from suede)
In the box you will also receive matching colour toe caps to protect the front of the skates as well as a Moxi tool which can tighten or loosen wheels and trucks or adjust the toe stop.
The Beach Bunny's can be used indoors or out, at the park or rollerdisco. Their tight fit makes them really responsive so they will react quickly to your footwork. These could be used for basic skatepark skating.
The skates come in many colours which include: Watermelon, Strawberry Lemonade, Periwinkle Purple, Sky Blue and then also the Leopard print which is actually called the Moxi Leopard and then there is also the black suede which is called the Moxi Panther.
Sizing
This skate comes long and narrow. It can be especially tight in the toe area. Not so great for anyone with wider feet but this is great for responsiveness whilst skating. If you have narrow feet then you should fit in your normal shoe size but if you are hesitant then maybe go for the size up on this model.

Lolly
The Skate
The Lolly is one of Moxi's flagship skates. The materials used and build quality of these skates are second to none making them a step above anything else. The parts include a Genuine Leather Suede skin to lock your foot in nice and secure. There is Thrust nylon base plates with aluminium hangers to keep the plate strong yet lighter than the Beach Bunny. The Lolly comes with Moxy soft and large MDI wheels and Kwick Abec 5 bearings which are perfect for street skating as they are big enough to get some serious speed and soft enough to tackle bumpy terrain. These skates also feature an adjustable toe stop.
These skates are extremely responsive so they make a great skate for Jam skating at the disco or the park. They can be used in the skatepark even though the plate is not metal. This plate is strong yet lightweight making it easier to jump.
Sizing
