Roller Skate Wheels

Roller skate wheels have 2 key areas to take note of, the size and the hardness of the urethane. In roller skating the wheel size is typically 62 – 65mm, with the larger wheels allowing you to skate that bit faster. Wheel hardness is measured with a letter ‘A’ afterwards and typical roller skate wheels are 78a, designed as a wheel that can be used on both indoor and outdoor terrain. Softer wheels (below 78a) are more suitable for skating on very smooth ground, roller rinks and skateparks. Harder wheels (above 78a) are tougher and designed to withstand rougher terrain like what you’ll find on the street. We stock full ranges from the best wheel companies around including Kryptonics, Airwaves and Sims street snakes.
